The Cleasby-Vigfusson Project
We are now organizing a project to proofread the HTML texts of for An Icelandic-English Dictionary, by Richard Cleasby and Gudbrand Vigfusson, which was published in 1874. It is the most comprehensive and authoritative dictionary on Old Icelandic in English. Our goal is to have the complete dictionary transcribed into HTML and RTF text files by the end of 2005. We need transcribers who can work with Old Icelandic characters as well as Greek. If you want to help with the Cleasby-Vigfusson Project contact us at: firstname.lastname@example.org .
