þu þe Israela      æðelum cynne
reccest and rædest,      ðu nu recene beheald,
þu ðe Ioseph swa sceap      gramum wiðlæddest.
ðu ðe sylfa nu      sittest ofer cherubin,

and Beniamin,      nu we biddað þe.
Awece þine mihte      and mid wuldre cum,
and us hale do      her on eorðan.
Gehweorf us, mægena god,      and us mildne æteow

þinne andwlitan;      ealle we beoð hale.
Eala ðu, mægena god,      mære drihten,
hu lange yrsast þu      on þines esnes gebed?
