tempra (), v. (1) to temper; moderate (t. skaplyndi sitt); (2) to temper, blend, mix (temprandi sín tár með hans tárum).
tempran, f. tempering.
tempranar - fullr, a. temperate; -laust, adv. intemperately.
tendra (), v. (1), to make a. fire, light (t. eld, ljós, kerti); (2) to kindle, excite (t. hug sinn).
tengda-lið, n., -menn, m. pl. relations by affinity.
tengdir, f. pl. affinity.
tengdr, pp. related by affinity,
tengja (-da, -dr), v. to fasten, tie together (hann lét t. skip sín hvert fram af stafni annars); t. saman skipin, to tie the ships together.
tengsl, n. pl. (l) the ropes or fastenings by which ships were bound together during battle (höggva tengslin á skipum sínum); (2) ties of affinity.
tengsla (), v. to tie together (t. saman skip).

teygja (-ða, -ðr), v. (1) to stretch out, draw (t. hálsinn); (2) to spread out dough into a flat cake (t. brauð); (3) to allure, entice (teygir hann rakkann á brott með sér).
teyma (-da, -dr), v. to lead by the rein (hann teymdu tveir saman).
tigi, n. charge; only in the phrase, engi maðr er í t. til, nema ..., none can be blamed but, there is no question of any one but.

-mannligr, a. noble-looking.
tiginn, a. high-born, of high estate, noble, of a king or an earl (þú kannt vel at vera með tignum mönnum).
