An Encounter with Frey

by Anonymous

The sun shone bright that day in the spring of '99 when in the late afternoon I left my home for a walk. I entered the woods and when I passed the first of a few Hawthorn-trees I decided to rest beneath it. So I lied down on my back, staring at the foliage, before I closed my eyes. The combination of Oak, Ash and Hawthorn has often been called the Fairy Triad, and not for nothing. I had very little experience of astral travel and such, but under the Hawthorn I felt myself rising out of my body and then my astral body kept hovering about one metre above my actual body. Immediately I felt the presence of three non-human entities. All of them radiated light/colours. The first one, dressed in red, introduced himself as Frey, the god of Alfheim. The second one was a female fairy dressed in darker colours. The third one was an amorphous blue being that rose from the trunk of the tree and which was the Hawthorn-spirit. Communication was not in ordinairy language but there definately was an exchange of ideas and energy. All this lasted for about half an hour, I think. Then I wanted to 'return to earth', but before that I wanted to say goodbye to Frey, who by that time was at some other place in the woods. Astrally I travelled over the paths until I saw him again and we both said goodbye. Back under the Hawthorn I 'landed' and rose up overwhelmed with joy...That was what I experienced and am gratefull for to this day.
