-lįt, n. (1) leaving off, relinquishing (aflįt synda, misverka); įn aflįti, incessantly; (2) remission, pardon (aflįt misgerninga, synda);
-lįta, v. with infin. to cease, see lįta;
-leggja, v. see leggja; (1) to put aside; (2) to give up, abandon;
-leišing, f. (1) terms; góšar afleišingar eru meš žeim, they are on good terms; (2) metric., continuation;
-leišingr, m. = afleišing; (1) žeir skildu góšan afleišing, they parted on friendly terms;

afli, m. (1) means, gain, earnings, proceeds (afli ok herfang); (2) might, power; hafa afla til einskis, to have means for nothing, be unable to do anything; (3) troops, forces; žeir draga afla at żšur, they gather forces against you; aflinn (the main body) Magnśss, konungs flżši allr.
