-fátt, a. n. lacking counsel, at one's wit's ends (þeim varð ekki -fátt)
-gørð, f. plan, design (töluðu þeir leyniliga -gørð sína); hafa áhyggjur ok -gørðir, to make plans.
ráðagørða-maðr, m. a man of many devices (mikill, lít ill, -maðr).
ráða-hagr, m. (1) state of life, condition (eyðist fé fyrir þeim, ok gørist -hagrinn úhœgr); way of life (nú vil ek breyta ráðahag okkrum); (2) marriage (þér mun kostr -hags við Sigríði systur mína);
-leitan, f. asking in marriage;
-kona, f. housekeeper;
-kostr, m. = -hagr;
-lauss, a. shiftless, helpless;
-maðr, m. (1) influential man (Birgir var hinn þriði mestr -maðr ílandinu); (2) manager, steward (hann var húskarl Þóris ok ráðamaðr fyrir búi hans).

-skortr, m. lack of shifts or expedients;
-skot, n. resources;
-stoð, f. help with counsels;

-drjúgr, a. full of devices;
-fár, a. shiftless, helpless;
-fréttast, v. refl. to consult (af e-m, við e-n);
-fýsi, f. instigation, exhortation.
ráðgast (að), v. refl. to take counsel.
ráð-girni, f. ambition;
-gjafl, m. counsellor;
-gjarn, a. ambitious, imperious;
-hagr, m= ráðahagr;
-hollr, a. giving faithful (good) advice.
ráðigr, a. = ráðugr.
ráðinn, pp. (1) resolved, determined (r. til e—s, í e—u); (2) certain (þat hygg ek at r. sé úfriðrinn); (3) clever (vitr maðr ok r.).

-kœnn, a. shrewd, shifty;
-lausliga, adv. foolishly;
-lauss, a. shiftless, having lost one's head;
-leggja (see leggja), v. to give advice, advise (e-m e-t);

-leitni, f. sagacity;
-leysi, n. shiftlessness, confusion, foolishness;
-liga, adv. cleverly;
-ligr, a. advisable;
-maðr, m. counsellor.
ráðning, f. (1) interpretation; (2) chastisement, rebuke.
ráð-ríkr, a. imperious;
-rúm, n. respite for taking counsel;
-samr, a. -ríkr;
-semi, f. sagacity.
ráðs-kona, f. housekeeper;
-maðr, m. (1) manager of an estate, steward; (2) influential man, leader.
ráð-snild, f. sagacity;
-snjallr, a. wise in counsel, sagacious;
-snotr, -spakr, a. = -snjallr;
-speki, f. wisdom;
-spella (að), v. to violate.
ráðstafa-lauss, a. unprovided for, homeless.
ráð-stafi, m. home, shelter; hann kvaðst sét hafa -stafa fyrir honum, he had provided for him;
-svinnr, a. = -snjallr.
