Every two years the boy scout council that I am a part of sends a contingent of boy scouts to a camp in the highlands of Scotland in a village called Blair Atholl. This camp has been held every two years for over 50 years now. This past summer (1998) has been the 26th (52 years) jamborette. The contingent was led my Mike Brown, my former scoutmaster when I was a scout and the current scoutmaster of the troop that I assist in. I was an additional contingent leader along with Ed, an 18 year old from our troop who had spent the past year as a exchange student in Germany. As members of the contingent we had 6 scouts: Doug, Ryan, Dan, Jamie, Morgan, and Andrew. The trip lasted 3 week as we toured up from England and Wales to Scotland. Ten days of the trip were at the actual camp at Blaie Atholl, the few days afterwards Mike, Ed and myself toured while the kids went to hang out with Scotish kids.
